Meet the Team

Diana Sanapanya
Executive Assistant

A licensed real estate professional, Diana serves as executive assistant to the president. Diana contributes greatly to the company by being able to help the office run more efficiently through the understanding of how the real estate process works from beginning to end. Her ability to efficiently execute time sensitive tasks is a tremendous value add.

Diana is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She leverages her experience at McLeod & Associates to handle some of the day-to-day challenges that she is frequently tasked with. Highly motivated, strong work ethic, meticulous to detail and a great communicator are just a few things used to describe Diana and why The McLeod Team is proud to have her.

Diana’s favorite quote: ‘If we couldn’t laugh we would all go insane.” – Robert Frost. If there was one thing Diana could change in the world, it would be selfishness. She wishes everyone could be selfless and do things for others just because. No reason behind it, just promoting kindness throughout the world.

Hobbies: hiking, biking and board games.
“We look forward to growing the company together.” – Diana Sanapanya

The Team and I serve as a resource and as a tool to use so they can accomplish their real estate goal(s).”

Patrick Aguiluz
Business Development & Marketing

Patrick Aguiluz uses his engineering background and Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management to provide a unique real estate value proposition; one that combines western business practices, leading edge technology and systems, business culture and ethics to achieve win-win-win scenarios. Patrick’s unique set of skills combination, experience and passion that he applies to everything he does makes him a key asset to the company.

This quote is a good way to summarize Patrick. The “have fun” says to focus on the good aspects of what you put your time towards. The “create art” means to put your own unique flavor/personality when doing something. It’s this type of quirkiness that makes working with Patrick enjoyable.
“Creating raving fans!”

“Have fun and create art in everything you do.” –Patrick Aguiluz

Leonard Mercado

Broker Associate / Partner

Leonard Mercado, Broker Associate and Partner, is the lead buyer’s/showing agent at McLeod & Associates. His extensive knowledge in land assets, having been a land banker and speaker for a decade brings a unique opportunity to McLeod’s client base and agency. Leonard was the broker and owner of Equitable Realty & Mortgage before deciding to join the McLeod & Associates Team. When asked why he joined forces with McLeod & Associates, his answer was simple: “Doing well in real estate or to continue to do the mundane things within it is one thing. But, to be able to grow and take your vision to another level, one needs a catalyst to take you there. McLeod & Associates is that catalyst…the synergy, team play and the discipline here is amazing.”

Leonard’s greatest asset is his ability to share insights in real estate beyond the structural. Understanding how a city grows, demographic shifts, population migration and economic development all plays into the real versus perceived value of an area. “We make money in real estate when we buy (right area, right time and right potential), not so much as when we sell.” There’s a lot more to real estate than the old mantra of location, location, location.

Hobbies: martial arts (knives/edged weapons), golf, enjoying a nice cigar with friends, collection of Scotch and traveling. Favorite destination: Monserrat Monastery, Spain.

“As professionals, we must do what we can to give our clients a fighting chance when making an offer on a home they fall in love with. Educating our clients on what will give them that edge against other offers is where the experience and talent comes in.” – Leonard Mercado
